We loved our stay at Chris and Shelley’s place. Perfect location to base yourself to explore Adelaide and the Adelaide hills as it’s so close to everything. Beautiful, private, hilltop, grassy paddock with shelter from the wind to stay in and lovely district views. Mt Barker the closest town has all the services you need. We stayed 4 days but there is so much to see and do in the area that we could have easily stayed many days longer. Hahndorf and wineries so accessible. Welcoming host. No facilities, need to be self contained. Pets were welcome and being non fire ban season we were able to buy wood at a nearby landscape supplies yard and have a fire in our portable fire pit. SA 2022
What a wonderful location. So close to Mount Barker, the hills and Adelaide.
Large field with great views, shady if needed. So peaceful.
Dump point in town (Alexandrina Road) with potable water opposite on toilet wall.
Fully recemmended. May 2022

We are currently travelling from Melbourne to explore WA. We stayed in caravan parks through SA except for 2 nights when we stayed with Anneleise and Neville on their 3000acre property. They let us stay on high ground overlooking the valley. The hospitality they showed, morning teas and a chat and suggestions on local attractions were appreciated. Having a spot away from the crowded Caravan Park and waiting to birds not the clang of caravans packing up and moving was really appreciated. We would highly recommend this site. John and Anne Bruitzman
Many thanks to my wonderful host, Warren, for a very relaxing stay. And getting farm milk and eggs was a bonus! I enjoyed both wine and walking during my stay- will definitely be back.
Cheers, Bernie. WA April 2022
10/10 Ron and Sonja are one of the nicest people you will meet. They were so welcoming. The mini farm is gorgeous. Close to Albany, beautiful views with Green lush grass with power and water if you wish. I was so lucky to Bottle feed little Lolly the lamb. I will truly miss our nights around the fire with them both.
Thanks to Ian we escaped the crowds from a Victorian and South Australian long weekend. A wonderful working farm and views over the lake added to by interesting places to visit close by makes this a highly recommended destination.
We hope to visit again during a winter one day.
Cheers Warren and Merran

Thank you for having us at your farm we had an amazing time. What lovely people so friendly and helpful, our kids enjoyed bottle feeding Lolly. A great location to discover Albany (WA) and the surrounding areas.
Thanks Marguerite and Barry
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Brett and Jo Dec 2021. So much so that we have returned Jan 2022. Lovely spot to park your van with shade from large trees if required or alternatively full sun if needed for solar. Great place to stay if you want to explore Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup and not far from Margaret River. Thanks Brett and Jo for making us welcome

Ron & Sonja – What a wonderful pair of hosts. We were made to feel so welcome for our Christmas stay, so much so, we didn’t want to leave at the end.
A great safe location with views over the fields, and a good base to explore Albany, Denmark and surrounding areas.
It was so good to feel grass between your toes on the lawn, and have the sheep and lambs come to visit.
Would fully recommend staying here, and we would certainly look to return here, when back in the area. Many thanks. Nigel & Selina Herriott (Perth, WA) December 2021

Arrived November 12th 2021 stayed 9 nights.
Great friendly hosts.
What a lovely tranquil hideaway.
The sites are huge and well spaced out. There is drinking water and a dump point. You can still have open fires. The sheep wander around freely keeping the grove trimmed. The walk to the river at the end of the property is beautiful with a sheltered cabana at the river’s edge. You can expect to see plenty of feathered wild life. The town can be easily accessed left or right of the Olive Hill Farm, it’s less that 10 mins into Margaret River. The wineries are super close as are the beaches and the quirky town of Coweramup.
Spent 6 nights here & had the whole fenced paddock to ourselves which was great for the dogs to throw a ball to. Daryl was a great host & kept us informed of any traffic coming through as they were hay cutting. Close to Busselton & about 40k’s from Bunbury . Really enjoyed our stay. What a lovely quiet spot Morris & Lesley have for one to park their van. We so enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. Loved the walk around the farm, the birds and the quiet. Thank you too for the lovely scones (great success by your daughter) and cuppa – really hope we can return for a longer stay. Trevor & Pamela Heiniger. WA 2021

What a truly lovely property and even nicer hosts. Ron and Sonja couldn’t be friendlier, more accomodating and helpful if they tried!
Evenings spent round the fire chatting, feeding the sheep and beautiful birds songs – what more could you ask for?!
They are also situated in a fantastic location near Albany and a truly beautiful part of the world.
I can’t say enough nice things about this Farmstay!

Goldie welcomed us with a dozen eggs and a huge smile. We needed somewhere to stay half way between Albany and Perth. Luckily we picked Goldie’s place which turned out to be a great decision. There are many facilities to use as Goldie has rooms to book as well. The animals are interesting and we were lucky enough to get a tour around the farm. Thanks Goldie for a great stay. Stayed late August 2020…..Wow what an awesome spot and fantastic hosts. We had a brilliant week at Brian and Bernies property (NSW). Planned on 4 days initially and stayed 7. So easy to use it as your base and explore the area. Brian and Bernie have fabulous advice of what to do and where to explore. Also good tips on where to eat and get the best coffee. Very big area to camp right on the river. So much fun just kicking back and watching the fishing boats, oyster boats and all the wonderful bird life from the comfort of your camp chair. If you’re staying a while it’s close to head to Kew where they have a dump point. We’ll be back to one of the best camp spots we’ve had!
Stayed 1st June – 5th June 2020, NSW Big thankyou to Brian & Bernie for your hospitality – our first outing immediately the COVID camping restriction was eased, first farmstay as well & we were delighted & felt immediately comfortable in your beautiful surrounds, river-frontage with pelican & birdlife, creek for crabbing ( too small for our table unfortunately) beautiful mountain & pasture behind us with cows & roos for company – our fur baby’s first experience was a great one! Wind chill the only negative but our little fire helped with that :) Lovely spacious campsites with an uninterrupted view & our fellow campers were great too. Thankyou for your assistance Brian when we needed it as well – definitely looking forward to coming back to your natural serenity – we have already been recommending the farmstay experience & website to family & friends :) Cheers! Peter & Judy – Kempsey

What a fabulous property & great location. Such a neat & well cared for farm with wonderful hosts. We have a level protected site in front of a shed over looking the dam & the fields beyond. Great location for visiting the Adelaide Hills or the Fleurieu Peninsula. Our hosts Ros & Carol are such lovely people who give us our privacy but are quitely going about their business. We are throughly enjoying our stay & look forward to returning. 10 out of 10, can’t fault our stay here, cheers Trish & Roger SA Jan 2021
We were greeted at the gate by 6 Angus Bulls (not angry bulls) who calmly mooooved aside to let us in. If you are looking for a spot to escape the hustle of daily life this is just the spot. Plenty of birds and nature to keep you company. Local shops 10 mins away and a gorgeous beach close by as well. A pity getting here from Tassie involves an overnight ferry trip as we would be back for Easter. Kingston SA. Apr 2019
